Potato Chips Price in Latvia (CIF) - 2023
The average potato chips import price stood at $6,489 per ton in September 2023, growing by 6.4% against the previous month. Over the last eleven-month period, it increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 24% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $7,262 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($8,589 per ton), while the price for Germany ($2,724 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From October 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+4.2%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
