The average potato import price stood at $393 per ton in August 2023, falling by -10.1% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a strong increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in June 2023 an increase of 36% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $437 per ton in July 2023, and then shrank in the following month.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Egypt ($545 per ton), while the price for the UK amounted to $296 per ton.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the UK (+8.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+13.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
