Preserved Asparagus Price in Italy (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average preserved asparagus import price amounted to $4,006 per ton, with a decrease of -5% against the previous month. Over the period from June 2022 to June 2023, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.9%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 an increase of 21% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $4,731 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to June 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Austria ($7,252 per ton), while the price for China ($2,996 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Spain (+7.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
