Preserved Olive Price in Indonesia (CIF) - 2022
In 2022, the average preserved olive import price amounted to $2,282 per ton, picking up by 2.5% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average import price increased by 42% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $2,570 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from China ($2,994 per ton) and Turkey ($2,665 per ton), while the price for Spain ($2,213 per ton) and the United States ($2,230 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+8.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
Preserved Olive Price in Indonesia (FOB) - 2022
The average preserved olive export price stood at $3,012 per ton in 2021, growing by 133% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a perceptible contraction. The export price peaked at $4,709 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Maldives.
From 2012 to 2021, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Australia amounted to 0.0% per year.
Preserved Olive Imports in Indonesia
In 2022, preserved olive imports into Indonesia plummeted to 220 tons, declining by -20.5% compared with 2021 figures. Overall, imports saw a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 70%. As a result, imports reached the peak of 276 tons, and then reduced remarkably in the following year.
In value terms, preserved olive imports fell markedly to $501K in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a pronounced slump.
