Preserved Sweet Corn Price in Bulgaria (CIF) - 2023
The average preserved sweet corn import price stood at $2,299 per ton in June 2023, with an increase of 23% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a temperate expansion from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +4.0% over the last twelve-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, preserved sweet corn import price increased by +23.1% against May 2023 indices. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In June 2023, the country with the highest price was Hungary ($2,477 per ton), while the price for Turkey ($1,098 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Poland (+4.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average preserved sweet corn export price stood at $2,080 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 59% against the previous year. Over the period under review, export price indicated a mild expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, preserved sweet corn export price increased by +66.2% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 88%. The export price peaked at $2,265 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Belgium ($3,871 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($1,629 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Moldova (+23.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Preserved Sweet Corn Imports in Bulgaria
In 2022, supplies from abroad of sweet corn prepared or preserved decreased by -14.3% to 2.6K tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year rising trend.
