In November 2023, the average export price for acids; aromatic polycarboxylic acids; terephthalic acid and its saltses amounted to $817 per ton, waning by -5.8% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in October 2023 when the average export price increased by 6.4% month-to-month. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $867 per ton, and then contracted in the following month.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In November 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices to Pakistan ($855 per ton) and South Africa ($848 per ton), while the average price for exports to Oman ($791 per ton) and Vietnam ($801 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to South Africa (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
