In April 2021, the average import price for acyclic alcohols and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivativeses amounted to $689 per ton, rising by 14% against the previous month. Over the last three months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +14.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2021 when the average import price increased by 24% against the previous month. The import price peaked in April 2021.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In April 2021, the country with the highest price was Germany ($1,532 per ton), while the price for Russia ($552 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2021 to April 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Saudi Arabia (+9.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 an increase of 63%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $480 per ton, and then contracted notably in the following year.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Ukraine ($489 per ton), while the average price for exports to Lithuania ($329 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Ukraine (+1.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
