In August 2023, the average albumins; egg albumin, dried import price amounted to $15,614 per ton, increasing by 9.8% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, showed a mild reduction. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $21,199 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to August 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the highest price was recorded for prices from Italy ($16,091 per ton) and Poland ($15,070 per ton), while the price for Latvia ($13,410 per ton) and France ($14,864 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

From September 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Sweden (+5.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
