In August 2023, the average export price for albumins; egg albumin, not drieds amounted to $1,025 per ton, shrinking by -18.5% against the previous month. In general, the export price saw a noticeable setback. The growth pace was the most rapid in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 41% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $2,690 per ton. From June 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($3,148 per ton), while the average price for exports to the Netherlands ($319 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to France (+8.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average import price for albumins; egg albumin, not drieds stood at $1,056 per ton in August 2023, which is down by -14.5% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a noticeable slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 20% m-o-m. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,190 per ton. From January 2023 to August 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($3,420 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($999 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
