The average import price for alcohols; cyclanic, cyclenic or cycloterpenic and derivatives, sterols and inositolses stood at $45,890 per ton in 2022, declining by -16.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average import price increased by 165% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $55,171 per ton in 2021, and then fell dramatically in the following year.

Overall, imports enjoyed a significant expansion. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, imports of alcohols; cyclanic, cyclenic or cycloterpenic and derivatives, sterols and inositolses soared to $55K in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a significant increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 192%. Imports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.
