In August 2023, the average export price for alcohols; cyclanic, cyclenic or cycloterpenic and derivatives, sterols and inositolses amounted to $5,330 per ton, approximately reflecting the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 188% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $38,574 per ton in February 2023; however, from March 2023 to August 2023, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for the Netherlands.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for the Netherlands amounted to +1.9% per month.
