In 2022, the average import price for alkali or alkali-earth metals; calcia amounted to $3,235 per ton, rising by 11% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 168%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $16,717 per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
