In November 2023, the average import price for aluminium; alloys, bars, rods and profiles, other than hollows amounted to $6,146 per ton, jumping by 18% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2023 an increase of 51% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum in November 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($18,804 per ton), while the price for China ($3,925 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Netherlands (+15.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for aluminium; alloys, bars, rods and profiles, other than hollows stood at $7,459 per ton in November 2023, picking up by 2.8% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 an increase of 10% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $7,717 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to November 2023, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($18,451 per ton), while the average price for exports to Faroe Islands ($4,391 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Switzerland (+1.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 44% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
