In January 2024, the average import price for aluminium; alloys, bars, rods and profiles, other than hollows amounted to $4,789 per ton, declining by -23.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price recorded a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in July 2023 an increase of 23% against the previous month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $7,006 per ton. From August 2023 to January 2024, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.

The export price peaked at $5,543 per ton in September 2023; however, from October 2023 to January 2024, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was the UK ($11,233 per ton), while the average price for exports to Sweden ($4,380 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to January 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the UK (+1.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
