In November 2023, the average aluminium; alloys, hollow profiles import price amounted to $5,166 per ton, surging by 7.3% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2023 an increase of 8.6% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $5,725 per ton in July 2023; however, from August 2023 to November 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($6,787 per ton), while the price for Bosnia and Herzegovina ($4,081 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+2.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average aluminium; alloys, hollow profiles export price amounted to $6,414 per ton, with an increase of 46% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a pronounced expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, aluminium; alloys, hollow profiles export price increased by +74.4% against 2020 indices. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($7,618 per ton), while the average price for exports to Hungary ($5,059 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+9.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 14%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
