In June 2023, the average import price for aluminium plates, sheets and strip of thickness exceeding 0.2 mms amounted to $4,241 per ton, picking up by 13% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $4,682 per ton in June 2022; however, from July 2022 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Italy ($5,115 per ton), while the price for the United Arab Emirates ($2,324 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by France (+0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Cote d'Ivoire (+13.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
