The average import price for aluminium plates, sheets and strip of thickness exceeding 0.2 mms stood at $4,414 per ton in 2022, jumping by 19% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a mild reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 24%. The import price peaked at $5,199 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
