There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In May 2024, the country with the highest price was Japan ($17,796 per ton), while the average price for exports to Canada ($4,142 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From May 2023 to May 2024, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Japan (+4.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.
