In December 2023, the average export price for aluminium; plates, sheets and strip, thickness exceeding 0.2mm, alloys, rectangular (including square)s amounted to $2,640 per ton, falling by -3.6% against the previous month. Overall, the export price recorded a slight descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in April 2023 an increase of 4.3% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $3,300 per ton in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to December 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Russia ($2,897 per ton), while the average price for exports to Turkey ($2,619 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (-0.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
