In November 2023, the average import price for aluminium; plates, sheets and strip, thickness exceeding 0.2mm, alloys, rectangular (including square)s amounted to $4,362 per ton, shrinking by -12.2% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in August 2023 when the average import price increased by 22% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $5,302 per ton in June 2023; however, from July 2023 to November 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Lithuania ($5,382 per ton), while the price for China ($2,707 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (+4.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In November 2023, the average export price for aluminium; plates, sheets and strip, thickness exceeding 0.2mm, alloys, rectangular (including square)s amounted to $6,533 per ton, dropping by -34.6% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, recorded mild growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in August 2023 an increase of 197% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $18,688 per ton. From September 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Finland ($9,287 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bulgaria ($3,736 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Finland (+4.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of aluminium; plates, sheets and strip, thickness exceeding 0.2mm, alloys, rectangular (including square)s, when their volume decreased by -25.9% to 3.7K tons. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 88% against the previous year.
In value terms, imports of aluminium; plates, sheets and strip, thickness exceeding 0.2mm, alloys, rectangular (including square)s dropped to $19M in 2022. In general, total imports indicated resilient growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +15.4% over the last three-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +53.8% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 68% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $22M, and then reduced in the following year.

As a result, the exports reached the peak of 432 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports of failed to regain momentum.
