The average export price for aluminium; plates, sheets and strip, thickness exceeding 0.2mm, alloys, rectangular (including square)s stood at $3,284 per ton in November 2023, picking up by 5.8% against the previous month. In general, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in December 2022 an increase of 16% m-o-m. The export price peaked at $5,002 per ton in March 2023; however, from April 2023 to November 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was Cambodia ($4,257 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($2,562 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Thailand (+0.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average import price for aluminium; plates, sheets and strip, thickness exceeding 0.2mm, alloys, rectangular (including square)s stood at $3,970 per ton in November 2023, reducing by -1.9% against the previous month. In general, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2023 an increase of 25% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $5,375 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to November 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was the United States ($22,749 per ton), while the price for Thailand ($3,336 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+2.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

In general, total exports indicated prominent growth from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +11.6% over the last three years.
