The average import price for aluminium; plates, sheets and strip, thickness exceeding 0.2mm, alloys, rectangular (including square)s stood at $5,495 per ton in November 2023, approximately equating the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in August 2023 when the average import price increased by 10% month-to-month. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $5,731 per ton. From September 2023 to November 2023, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was France ($36,462 per ton), while the price for China ($4,086 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
