In 2022, the average aluminium; powders and flakes import price amounted to $8,546 per ton, growing by 3.9% against the previous year. In general, import price indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +8.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, aluminium; powders and flakes import price increased by +71.7% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 40%. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In general, total imports indicated a significant increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +20.0% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +72.8% against 2019 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 20%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.
