Price for Aluminium; Powders and Flakes in Hong Kong SAR (FOB) - 2023
The average aluminium; powders and flakes export price stood at $1,989 per ton in June 2023, dropping by -11.5% against the previous month. In general, export price indicated a resilient increase from September 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +6.1% over the last nine-month period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, aluminium; powders and flakes export price increased by +53.3% against March 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in May 2023 an increase of 67% against the previous month. The export price peaked at $2,381 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to June 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Malaysia.
From September 2022 to June 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Malaysia amounted to +6.4% per month.
