Price for Aluminium; Tubes and Pipes in Brazil (CIF) - 2022
The average aluminium; tubes and pipes import price stood at $6,983 per ton in 2022, surging by 13% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, saw a noticeable curtailment. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $8,670 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($26,997 per ton), while the price for China ($5,724 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+10.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average aluminium; tubes and pipes export price stood at $6,003 per ton in September 2023, declining by -16.6% against the previous month. In general, the export price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in January 2023 when the average export price increased by 274% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $18,037 per ton. From February 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Ecuador ($7,947 per ton), while the average price for exports to the United States ($4,825 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From September 2022 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+16.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Aluminium; Tubes and Pipes in Brazil
In 2022, imports of aluminium; tubes and pipeses into Brazil contracted modestly to 5.2K tons, leveling off at the year before. In general, imports saw a pronounced reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 14%.

Overall, exports, however, posted strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by 66% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 1.4K tons, and then dropped slightly in the following year.
In value terms, aluminium; tubes and pipes exports soared to $9.8M in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a significant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when exports increased by 78% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
