Price for Aluminium; Tubes and Pipes in Croatia (CIF) - 2022
The average aluminium; tubes and pipes import price stood at $5,942 per ton in 2022, surging by 22% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, saw a slight shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 46% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $6,771 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($7,781 per ton), while the price for China ($4,879 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovenia (+6.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average aluminium; tubes and pipes export price amounted to $7,389 per ton, picking up by 40% against the previous year. Overall, the export price enjoyed resilient growth. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($11,308 per ton), while the average price for exports to Latvia ($3,927 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+14.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Aluminium; Tubes and Pipes in Croatia
In 2022, overseas purchases of aluminium; tubes and pipeses decreased by -2.6% to 1.3K tons, falling for the second year in a row after two years of growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 68%. As a result, imports attained the peak of 1.4K tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, aluminium; tubes and pipes imports soared to $7.5M in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a significant increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 40% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 89% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of 67 tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Over the period under review, total exports indicated a significant increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +21.4% over the last three years. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 73%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
