Price for Aluminium; Tubes and Pipes in Germany (CIF) - 2023
The average aluminium; tubes and pipes import price stood at $5,311 per ton in July 2023, declining by -3.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in December 2022 an increase of 19% month-to-month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $6,564 per ton. From January 2023 to July 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($7,596 per ton), while the price for Egypt ($3,623 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Denmark (+3.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average aluminium; tubes and pipes export price stood at $11,153 per ton in July 2023, leveling off at the previous month. Over the last twelve months, it increased at an average monthly rate of +1.6%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in November 2022 when the average export price increased by 12% m-o-m. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure in July 2023.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Slovakia ($17,397 per ton), while the average price for exports to Austria ($8,243 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+6.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Aluminium; Tubes and Pipes in Germany
In 2022, approx. 54K tons of aluminium; tubes and pipeses were imported into Germany; declining by -14.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports recorded a noticeable descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 11% against the previous year.
