Price for Antimony Ore and Concentrate in India (CIF) - 2023
In July 2023, the average antimony ore and concentrate import price amounted to $4,635 per ton, waning by -3.4% against the previous month. In general, the import price recorded a mild slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 10% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $5,691 per ton in August 2022; however, from September 2022 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Chile ($5,234 per ton), while the price for Peru ($2,249 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Lithuania (+0.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average antimony ore and concentrate export price stood at $2,332 per ton in 2022, declining by -20.3% against the previous year. Overall, the export price recorded a pronounced descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when the average export price increased by 51% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $5,545 per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was South Korea ($7,443 per ton), while the average price for exports to Japan ($866 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to China (+27.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Antimony Ore and Concentrate in India
In 2022, overseas purchases of antimony ores and concentrates were finally on the rise to reach 6.1K tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a abrupt decrease.
In value terms, antimony ore and concentrate imports surged to $32M in 2022. Overall, imports showed a strong expansion. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
