The average import price for apples, pears and quinces; freshes stood at $1,223 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -12% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.5%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 34%. The import price peaked at $1,583 per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Greece ($1,541 per ton) and Lebanon ($1,176 per ton), while the price for Italy ($1,175 per ton) and Syrian Arab Republic ($1,175 per ton) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Greece (+3.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for apples, pears and quinces; freshes stood at $997 per ton in 2022, dropping by -7.9% against the previous year.
