The average export price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes stood at $1,087 per ton in September 2023, shrinking by -3.7% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in June 2023 an increase of 28% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,221 per ton. From July 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Russia ($1,108 per ton), while the average price for exports to Kazakhstan amounted to $571 per ton.
From April 2023 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Kazakhstan (+3.4%).

The average import price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes stood at $1,383 per ton in 2022, picking up by 4.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when the average import price increased by 182% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Iran ($1,477 per ton), while the price for Georgia ($1,282 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Uzbekistan (+24.9%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
