In 2022, the average import price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes amounted to $1,807 per ton, increasing by 15% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 31% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $2,192 per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($2,359 per ton), while the price for Italy ($1,367 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the United States (+2.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw resilient growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the average export price increased by 65%. The export price peaked at $3,540 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Nicaragua ($7,221 per ton), while the average price for exports to Slovakia ($570 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Finland (+14.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
