The average import price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes stood at $1,685 per ton in September 2023, increasing by 3.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price continues to indicate a mild expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 an increase of 63% m-o-m. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,126 per ton. From June 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
As there is only one major supplying country, the average price level is determined by prices for Turkey.
From March 2023 to September 2023, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Italy amounted to +11.4% per month.

Average prices varied noticeably for the major foreign markets. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Faroe Islands ($2,763 per ton), while the average price for exports to Greenland ($2,239 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From March 2023 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+4.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
