The average import price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes stood at $1,973 per ton in August 2023, falling by -11.2% against the previous month. In general, import price indicated measured growth from December 2022 to August 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +2.4% over the last eight months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on August 2023 figures, import price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes decreased by -41.3% against May 2023 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in January 2023 when the average import price increased by 64% against the previous month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the peak figure at $3,363 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to August 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was Greece ($5,475 per ton), while the price for Poland ($851 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+4.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average export price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes stood at $2,171 per ton in 2022, waning by -39.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a pronounced decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when the average export price increased by 89% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $4,368 per ton. From 2020 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for Estonia.
From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for Estonia amounted to -4.3% per year.
