The average import price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes stood at $2,008 per ton in September 2023, which is down by -4.6% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a slight downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average import price increased by 19% against the previous month. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $3,109 per ton. From June 2023 to September 2023, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($2,783 per ton), while the price for the Netherlands ($1,325 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From March 2023 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by South Africa (+12.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands (+4.3%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
