In 2022, the average export price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes amounted to $912 per ton, increasing by 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price enjoyed a slight expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 142%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $1,065 per ton. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Iraq ($2,844 per ton), while the average price for exports to Saudi Arabia ($558 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Iraq (+15.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
