The average export price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes stood at $1,476 per ton in 2022, increasing by 8.3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, recorded a noticeable shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 13%. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $2,034 per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Qatar ($4,154 per ton), while the average price for exports to Senegal ($767 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the United Arab Emirates (+6.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the average import price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes amounted to $1,103 per ton, with a decrease of -8.2% against the previous year. Overall, import price indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, import price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes increased by +16.9% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 an increase of 31%. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the peak figure at $1,202 per ton in 2021, and then contracted in the following year.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 79% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $19M, and then reduced rapidly in the following year.
