In September 2023, the average export price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes amounted to $570 per ton, which is down by -21.2% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the export price, however, posted a measured increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in May 2023 when the average export price increased by 497% month-to-month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $2,712 per ton. From June 2023 to September 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Russia ($1,263 per ton), while the average price for exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina ($366 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From April 2023 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany (+15.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average import price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes stood at $843 per ton in September 2023, waning by -47.9% against the previous month. In general, the import price saw a dramatic shrinkage. The growth pace was the most rapid in August 2023 when the average import price increased by 24% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $3,652 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Italy ($1,741 per ton), while the price for Moldova ($519 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From April 2023 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Bosnia and Herzegovina (+95.8%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
