The average import price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes stood at $1,352 per ton in September 2023, with a decrease of -16% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a modest expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in February 2023 an increase of 65% month-to-month. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $3,405 per ton in May 2023; however, from June 2023 to September 2023, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In September 2023, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($1,464 per ton), while the price for Moldova ($222 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From January 2023 to September 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+11.3%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes stood at $1,257 per ton in August 2023, declining by -21.8% against the previous month. Overall, the export price faced a deep downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in April 2023 when the average export price increased by 308% against the previous month. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $16,068 per ton. From May 2023 to August 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Germany ($2,142 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($213 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From February 2023 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Spain (+9.5%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In value terms, imports of apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes fell to $19M in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a sharp decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 13%.
