In 2022, the average import price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes amounted to $1,057 per ton, reducing by -19.6% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded strong growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when the average import price increased by 84%. The import price peaked at $1,781 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($6,161 per ton), while the price for Belgium ($626 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Kenya (+24.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, the export price continues to indicate a notable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 210% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $1,947 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Rwanda ($1,905 per ton), while the average price for exports to Maldives stood at $1,789 per ton.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Saudi Arabia (+40.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
