In 2022, the average import price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes amounted to $1,056 per ton, growing by 15% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when the average import price increased by 22%. The import price peaked at $1,102 per ton in 2012; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Italy ($1,422 per ton), while the price for Moldova ($839 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+2.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.

The average export price for apricots, cherries, peaches (including nectarines), plums and sloes, freshes stood at $163 per ton in 2022, shrinking by -80.2% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a abrupt curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 75% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $1,051 per ton in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Poland ($637 per ton), while the average price for exports to Moldova ($453 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia (+13.8%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 27%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $112M. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports of remained at a somewhat lower figure.
