Price for Article of Natural Cork in France (CIF) - 2023
The average article of natural cork import price stood at $34,126 per ton in July 2023, declining by -4.7% against the previous month. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in March 2023 when the average import price increased by 18% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $38,808 per ton in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to July 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In July 2023, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($53,550 per ton), while the price for China ($11,496 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From July 2022 to July 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+4.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In July 2023, the average article of natural cork export price amounted to $87,402 per ton, growing by 13% against the previous month. Overall, the export price posted a temperate increase.
