The average export price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather stood at $8.4 per unit in 2022, increasing by 3% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 17% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $8.7 per unit. From 2021 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($30 per unit), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($3.7 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (+5.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, average import prices reached the maximum at $15 per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($34 per unit), while the price for India ($3.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
