The average import price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather stood at $20.6 per unit in November 2023, growing by 2.3% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, continues to indicate a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in July 2023 an increase of 54% against the previous month. The import price peaked at $34.4 per unit in November 2022; however, from December 2022 to November 2023, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In November 2023, the country with the highest price was the Netherlands ($54.4 per unit), while the price for India ($4.8 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From November 2022 to November 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Germany (+6.7%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

In general, export price indicated a mild expansion from November 2022 to November 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +1.0% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on November 2023 figures, export price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather decreased by -42.7% against July 2023 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2023 when the average export price increased by 177% m-o-m. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $67.0 per unit. From August 2023 to November 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Kyrgyzstan ($202 per unit), while the average price for exports to Latvia ($11.6 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
