In 2022, the average import price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather amounted to $9.1 per unit, jumping by 15% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average import price increased by 23% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $13 per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Pakistan ($16 per unit), while the price for China ($5.2 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (-0.6%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

Overall, export price indicated a noticeable expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, export price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather decreased by -30.7% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by 103% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices reached the maximum at $47 per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($46 per unit), while the average price for exports to Chile ($9.1 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Colombia (+15.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
