In December 2023, the average import price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather amounted to $11.5 per unit, growing by 11% against the previous month. In general, the import price, however, saw a slight shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in October 2023 when the average import price increased by 23% month-to-month. The import price peaked at $13.4 per unit in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to December 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In December 2023, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($14.9 per unit), while the price for Indonesia ($3.7 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From December 2022 to December 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Pakistan (-0.5%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In 2022, the average export price for articles of apparel and clothing accessories, of leather or of composition leather amounted to $22 per unit, waning by -20.6% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a precipitous descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 an increase of 56%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $3,648 per unit. From 2015 to 2022, the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Japan ($88 per unit), while the average price for exports to Canada ($11 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Australia (-30.7%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.
