The average export price for artificial staple fibres, not carded, combed or otherwise processed for spinning stood at $2,150 per ton in 2022, with an increase of 10% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 223% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $12,038 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets.
