In August 2023, the average blankets and travelling rugs import price amounted to $7.1 per unit, falling by -7.1% against the previous month. Over the period under review, the import price showed a pronounced slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in February 2023 an increase of 11% m-o-m. The import price peaked at $10.4 per unit in December 2022; however, from January 2023 to August 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Poland ($11.7 per unit), while the price for Egypt ($5.7 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Turkey (-0.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced a decline.

In August 2023, the average blankets and travelling rugs export price amounted to $14.3 per unit, growing by 2% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in November 2022 an increase of 13% month-to-month. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $17.3 per unit in April 2023; however, from May 2023 to August 2023, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In August 2023, the country with the highest price was the UK ($23.0 per unit), while the average price for exports to Belgium ($8.1 per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From August 2022 to August 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Slovakia (+2.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
