Price for Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Austria (CIF) - 2023
In June 2023, the average books, brochures and leaflets import price amounted to $16,073 per ton, growing by 4.4% against the previous month. Over the period under review, import price indicated a moderate expansion from June 2022 to June 2023: its price increased at an average monthly rate of +3.5% over the last twelve months. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on June 2023 figures, books, brochures and leaflets import price decreased by -6.0% against February 2023 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in July 2022 when the average import price increased by 42% m-o-m. Over the period under review, average import prices hit record highs at $19,693 per ton in January 2023; however, from February 2023 to June 2023, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin: the country with the highest price was Slovenia ($26,931 per ton), while the price for Poland ($11,485 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Slovenia (+21.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average books, brochures and leaflets export price stood at $21,527 per ton in June 2023, falling by -8.4% against the previous month. Overall, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in October 2022 when the average export price increased by 130% m-o-m. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $37,571 per ton. From November 2022 to June 2023, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Mexico ($28,354 per ton), while the average price for exports to Poland ($5,514 per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From June 2022 to June 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mexico (+4.6%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Books, Brochures and Leaflets in Austria
In 2022, books, brochures and leaflets imports into Austria shrank to 22K tons, dropping by -14.9% on the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports recorded a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 1.3% against the previous year.
