In 2022, the average books, brochures and leaflets import price amounted to $14,225 per ton, with a decrease of -2.1% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.9%. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 an increase of 16%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $14,526 per ton, and then declined modestly in the following year.

Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from the United States ($14,249 per ton) and Italy ($14,249 per ton), while the price for the UK ($14,249 per ton) and China ($14,249 per ton) were amongst the lowest.

As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, books, brochures and leaflets exports skyrocketed to $341M in 2022. In general, total exports indicated a resilient increase from 2019 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.7% over the last three years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +53.0% against 2020 indices.
