The average books, brochures and leaflets export price stood at $9,659 per ton in 2022, waning by -3% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 an increase of 21% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the peak figure at $10,653 per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Mexico ($10,888 per ton), while the average price for exports to Ukraine ($4,853 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mexico (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Over the period under review, import price indicated a moderate increase from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +3.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, books, brochures and leaflets import price increased by +14.7% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when the average import price increased by 12% against the previous year. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $14,390 per ton. From 2019 to 2022, the average import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($29,277 per ton), while the price for Cyprus ($1,327 per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Italy (+19.0%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
